When retracted, a sealed aluminium cassette fully encloses the fabric and arms, protecting them from UV, rain and grime so the awning looks new season after season. Built factory-direct at our Hebei facility (est. 2004), every unit is available for full retractable awning OEM and ODM customization, from frame profile to branded packaging.
Why the full cassette matters
Unlike open or semi-cassette designs, the full cassette completely shrouds the fabric roll, lateral arms and front bar when closed. This eliminates the most common warranty failures importers face — fabric fading, stitching rot and arm corrosion caused by standing water and airborne dirt. The result is a premium product with a lower return rate and a longer service life for your end customers.
Operation is fully motorized using a tubular Somfy/Becker-compatible motor for quiet, smooth extension and retraction. Optional sun and wind sensors automate deployment and auto-retract in gusts, protecting the structure and reducing liability for hospitality and commercial installs.
Build and materials
The frame is extruded from 6063-T5 aluminium and finished with a UV-stable powder coat, available in standard whites and greys or any RAL color for ODM orders. Heavy-duty double-cable or geared lateral arms maintain fabric tension across wide spans without sag.
Standard fabric is solution-dyed acrylic at roughly 280-300 gsm for excellent colorfastness and water resistance. PVC-coated polyester and breathable HDPE options are available where waterproofing or airflow takes priority. All fabrics and frames are tested to ISO 9001 standards, with SGS and TÜV reports available on request.
Customization and OEM
Awnova supports full OEM/ODM programs: custom widths and projections, RAL frame colors, fabric ranges, motor and sensor configurations, branded valances, and private-label cartons and manuals. Engineering drawings and pre-production samples are provided so distributors can confirm specifications before bulk runs. Typical lead time is 4-6 weeks with FOB or CIF shipping worldwide.
